New Mexico Department of Health (NM DOH) has two programs focused on cancer:

The NM DOH Cancer Program’s efforts are guided by the goals and objectives of the 2002 – 2006 New Mexico Cancer Plan.
Facts about the Cancer Programs
The Comprehensive Cancer Program focuses on colorectal, lung, skin and prostate cancer education and awareness activities; cancer survivor support and
education services; and cancer patient housing.
The Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program provides free comprehensive breast and cervical cancer screening services to qualified women throughout New Mexico.

The New Mexico Comprehensive Cancer Program’s mission is to promote the health of New Mexicans through comprehensive cancer prevention
and control efforts, with a vision to reduce the burden of cancer in New Mexico by working in public/private partnerships to maximize
resources.
The New Mexico Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program’s mission is to detect and control breast and cervical cancer by providing for comprehensive breast and cervical
cancer screenings to underserved women.
