2009 Statewide Directors Meeting
The Developmental Disabilities Supports Division (DDSD) Statewide Directors Meeting was held on Wednesday October 14 and Thursday October 15, 2009. 

Presentations and discussions were held on the preparation of the outbreak of pandemic flu and planning in the event of large-scale services shortages, updates on the Aspiration Initiatives, strategies for addressing resource needs in a shrinking budget, and ideas for Person Centered Planning services.

Fiscal Year 2009 Statewide Director's Community Inclusion Award Winners
The Developmental Disabilities Supports Division (DDSD) 2009 Director's Community Inclusion Awards for July 2008 - June 2009 winners were recognized through a brochure and announcements at the DDSD Statewide Directors Meeting.  Certificates will be presented regionally from now on so that more family members and friends can attend.   

The award categories are Self-Employment, Entered Community Employment from Adult Habilitation, Community Employer/Employee Partnership, Community Based Adult Habilitation Services, Individual Community Membership and Full Community Inclusion. Click here to see more.

Meeting Feedback
Feedback results showed enthusiasm over the topics covered in the meeting this year. Ninety-three (93%) percent of attendees felt that their knowledge of the topics covered in the meeting was increased.  Many also responded favorably to the HSRI Resource presentation and the Pandemic Influenza presentation.
