Promising Practices Are Defined As |
Promising Practices are evaluated (usually by staff making on-site visits) for the potential of application in other settings. Information received must be validated and the practice in action must be observed. Also the practice must be identified for how well it meets the criteria for data collection and documentation of effectiveness based on data findings. Promising Practices could also offer direction on what is unacceptable. While the method as of best practice are the result of an evolutionary process, an agreed upon definition of what is no longer acceptable should become clear and a transition to what is acceptable (including timelines and standards) should be established early on in the process.
