American Indian Health Liaison

The American Indian Liaison serves as key staff on state-tribal issues for the Department and assists in formalizing the Department’s government-to-government relations. The liaison facilitates efforts within the Department of Health and other state agencies to address American Indian issues, and serves as the lead facilitator for the American Indian Health Advisory Committee.

The American Indian Liaison also works in partnership with the American Indian Liaisons in the other Health and Human Services Departments and with the Indian Affairs Department to meet the needs of American Indians in New Mexico.

For additional information on the American Indian Health Advisory Council or if you would like to contribute materials for the American Indian Health Advisory Council newsletter, email Ron Reid at Ronald.Reid1@state.nm.us or call (505) 827-2627.
