The New Mexico VFC program has supplied new (June 2008) Certified Digital Thermometers to all VFC Providers.

2008-09 School Schedule: At the beginning of the 2008-09 school year, students entering seventh and eighth grades will be required to have the Tdap vaccine if it has been at least five years since they have had a vaccine containing the tetanus component.

The New Bi-national Mexico/New Mexico Immunization Schedule is a guide to interpreting shot records from Mexico.

The New Mexico Statewide Immunization Information System is up and running. Over 300 providers have received training for NMSIIS, and over 200 are actively entering information on new shots given into the system. CHILI (Child Health Immunization Learning Initiative) Trainings continue to be held across the state for nurses and other immunization staff. Course content includes vaccine storage and handling, vaccination techniques, and information on new vaccine developments. Nurses taking the course can earn CNEs for participation in the course.
