The NMDOH Public Health Region 5 provides a statewide toll-free line staffed by
trained counselors to answer questions and provide recommendation, referrals, and
support regarding Viral Hepatitis and Opiate Addiction.
Hotline Hours: Monday - Friday: 8 am - 5pm
(closed on state holidays)

Upon request, the hotline counselors may mail out informational
materials to individuals and organizations.
By dialing 1-888-364-4372, callers in New Mexico can access testing and vaccination
information for individuals who are at risk for hepatitis C and treatment information for persons
who have already tested positive and may be considering medical management.
Callers may also find out about medication assisted treatment
with buprenorphine (Suboxone) in their areas of the state for persons
who have chemical dependency issues with heroin and prescription painkillers.
