You can still prevent pregnancy 3 days after
unprotected sex with Emergency Contraception
(EC), also called Plan B or the morning after
pill. All women can use EC pills safely.

Plan B is a good idea when:

• you have sex without birth control
• a condom breaks
• you miss 2 or more birth control pills
• you miss your birth control shot
• you have been forced to have sex

Plan B is not an abortion pill.

Plan B is similar to birth control pills. It
works best when used right away. EC prevents
pregnancy most of the time.
If you are already pregnant, EC will not hurt you or end the pregnancy.
