Health Regulation - Permits, Licenses and Certification
The Department of Health's Strategic Plan states that the Department: Assure
compliance with standards of care in hospitals, nursing homes and other
healthcare facilities and community programs through various quality improvement
activities. The Division of Health Improvement (DHI) is the independent
"eyes and ears" of the Department with the responsibility of assuring safety
and quality of care.
