New Mexico Rehabilitation Center announces resumption of outpatient program for substance treatment

November 29, 2022 - Rehabilitation Center - Awareness

SANTA FE – The New Mexico Rehabilitation Center located in Roswell, N.M. is delighted to announce the resumption of the Intensive Outpatient Program for substance treatment. The Intensive Outpatient Program is ideal for people who are continuing their ongoing journey towards recovery for substance use disorders. The program allows participants to balance recovery with home, work, and other commitments by offering a program that allows participants to engage in intensive recovery work on an outpatient basis.

“This Intensive Outpatient Program is critically important and will help meet the need that exists in southeast New Mexico,” said Acting Department of Health Secretary David R. Scrase, M.D. “New Mexico has the highest alcohol-related death rate in the country and unintentional drug overdoses in our state make up 88 percent of drug overdose deaths. When people make the courageous decision to seek help, we want to be able to provide the support they need in their recovery.”

The Intensive Outpatient Program consists of a three hour treatment group per day and attended three days per week, as clinically indicated. The program is designed to help substance-dependent individuals learn impulse control, healthy coping skills, relationship skills, emotional regulation skills and strategies to avoid relapse through group and individual therapy. The program's interdisciplinary treatment team's goal is to help patients and families resume a drug-free life.

Beginning treatment at the New Mexico Rehabilitation Center’s outpatient rehab is easy. Simply call us at 575-347-3440 for more information and scheduling.

The New Mexico Rehabilitation Center also offers a comprehensive program that is intensive, holistic, trauma-informed and evidence-based to help individuals struggling with a variety of substance use issues.

The New Mexico Rehabilitation Center also offers medical detox and a 28-day residential substance treatment program for individuals needing a higher-level of care. Agency and self-referrals are encouraged for any level of our substance treatment programs by calling 575-347-3440.
