Doula Credentialing Advisory Council
The New Mexico Doula Credentialing Advisory Council (DCAC) and its operational staff are housed within the Maternal Health Program of the Public Health Division. The purpose of the formation of DCAC is to develop standards and requirements for doula certification and create paths and opportunities to ensure doula workforce development is supported and sustainable.
Call for Members
The DCAC is voluntary council with members who provide diverse, multidisciplinary expertise in healthcare, social service, public health, and community-based / community-led systems and resources. Members may be eligible for critical income reimbursement to facilitate participation.
The DCAC is now accepting applications for members. New Mexico residents with a strong commitment to health equity, diverse backgrounds in maternal health, community leadership, and doula care are needed. Persons from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds and varied geographic regions across New Mexico, are strongly encouraged to apply.
