New Guidance Issued for Filming Media Coverage at Public Vaccination Events

January 7, 2021 - 2019 Novel Coronavirus - Awareness

SANTA FE – To protect the privacy of New Mexicans participating in public vaccination events, and because vaccination is a medical procedure which falls under confidentiality, the Department of Health (DOH) is issuing new guidance for camera crews obtaining video or still camera footage for media coverage at public vaccination events. Going forward, camera and news crews who plan to shoot at any public vaccination events are respectfully requested to:

1.      Request access to the event through DOH media contacts

2.      Provide signage in English and Spanish at every entry point, clearly stating that participants will not be identified.

Signage is available in English and Spanish, through the DOH Communications team. For further information, please contact katy.diffendorfer@state.nm.us
