New Mexico state officials to provide COVID-19 update 

SANTA FE – Laura Parajon, M.D., Deputy Cabinet Secretary of the New Mexico Department of Health; and Christine Ross, M.D., NMDOH State Epidemiologist, will host a remote news conference tomorrow, December 22, 2021 to provide an update on the state’s efforts to address COVID-19. The entire presentation will take place in two portions, first in English and then in Spanish. Reporters are invited to submit questions in both English and Spanish (see directions below). 

WHAT: COVID-19 and vaccine update with Q & A  

WHEN: Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at 2 PM MST 

WHERE: The news conference will be streamed live on the: New Mexico Department of Health Facebook page. The news conference will also be

streamed with a Spanish language interpreter on Governor Michelle Lujan

Grisham’s YouTube page. 

Following the presentation, members of the media will be able to participate remotely.
