Temporary system disruption impacts COVID-19 reporting

January 12, 2022 - 2019 Novel Coronavirus - Awareness

Technical issue artificially lowered daily case count, has now been resolved

SANTA FE: On Tuesday, January 11th, a temporary disruption in the electronic lab reporting (ELR) feed occurred which impacted the number of new COVID-19 case counts announced by the New Mexico Department of Health (NMDOH). The anomaly resulted in an artificial lowering of new COVID-19 cases as reported in Tuesday’s daily case count press release.

The ELR reporting issue has now been resolved and all cases reported to the state will be included in the Wednesday, January 12th COVID-19 epidemiology report. The DOH will continue to inform the public of any reporting disruptions that may impact COVID-19 case counts.
