Colfax County public health office provides back-to-school vaccinations

RATON, NM – The New Mexico Department of Health’s (NMDOH) Colfax County Public Health Office at 226 East 4th St. in Raton will be providing no cost back-to-school vaccinations this summer for all children aged 18 and younger regardless of whether they are a patient or have insurance at the following dates and times:

  • Monday-Thursday: June 30-July 3: 9 a.m.-noon and 1-4 p.m. 
  • Monday-Friday: July 7-11: 9 a.m.-noon and 1-4 p.m. 
  • Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: July 14, 16-18: 9 a.m.-noon and 1-4 p.m. 
  • Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: July 21, 23-25: 9 a.m.-noon and 1-4 p.m. 
  • Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: July 28, 30-31 and Aug 1: 9 a.m.-noon and 1-4 p.m. 
  • Monday-Friday: Aug 4-8: 9 a.m.-noon and 1-4 p.m. 
  • Monday-Friday: Aug 11-15: 9 a.m.-noon and 1-4 p.m. 
  • Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: Aug 18, 20-22: 9 a.m.-noon and 1-4 p.m. 
  • Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: Aug 25, 27-29: 9 a.m.-noon and 1-4 p.m.


Please call (575) 445-3601 for more information.

Parents need to bring their child’s shot record and Medicaid or private health insurance card if they have insurance, even though immunizations are provided at no cost to parents. No one will be turned away if they don’t have insurance.

To get a copy of your or your child’s vaccinations record, visit VaxViewNM.org to download a copy or contact the NMDOH Helpline at 1-833-SWNURSE (1-833-796-8773) for assistance.

The vaccinations are available through the Got Shots immunization campaign organized by the New Mexico Immunization Coalition, which includes NMDOH and the New Mexico Primary Care Association. This year, more than 65 community health centers, public health offices, and private practices across New Mexico are participating in Got Shots.
