Fort Sumner public health office has reopened

SANTA FE – Starting Monday, Jan. 5, the Fort Sumner public health office resumed offering services to the community.

The office is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8 a.m. to noon and Tuesday and Thursday from 1 to 5 p.m. It is located at 643 5th Street in Fort Sumner.

To make an appointment, New Mexicans can call the NMDOH Helpline at 1-833-SWNURSE (1-833-796-8773) or the office directly at 575-355-3262.

The office had been closed since June 2025 due to damage caused by heavy rains in the area, causing the roof to leak and repairs to be made.
