• Recognition of EMS Personnel Licensure Interstate CompAct (resource) [+]
  This is an interstate compact that recognizes the day-to-day movement of EMS personnel across state lines. It extends a privilege to practice under authorized circumstances to EMS personnel based on their home state license as well as allows for the rapid exchange of licensure history between Compact member states.

This report will be finalized, to include a more comprehensive look at various data fields with input from the Trauma Performance Improvement Committee and Trauma System Fund Authority, in early 2014.

  This report utilizes primarily Definitive Trauma Registry Records, which is a record generated when a patient meets the state trauma registry inclusion criteria and does not have exclusion criteria, is then discharged from a facility to a non-acute care setting, (home, rehab or jail) or is discharged as dead. Patients who were transferred to a higher level of care within New Mexico were captured at the receiving facility. No out of state facility records were utilized for the purpose of this report.
• EMS Trauma Data Report 2005-2011 (health data) [+]
  This report focuses on patients discharged from a facility without being transferred to a higher level of care (other than those transferred out-of-state). These patients are referred to as having “definitive care patient records”. The only exception is that patients who are transferred to out of state trauma centers are included in this report as well, as these patients may not otherwise be included in the data set. In the seven year period from 2005 until 2011, there were 32,289 of these definitive care records.
