Are you interested in becoming a NMSIIS user? Do you want to learn more about the New Mexico immunization efforts? Information on this page can be used to begin completing requirements to become a NMSIIS user, see how to access our new public portal, and attend an online or in-person training to learn more about immunizations.

NMSIIS Access

Thank you for your interest in completing a NMSIIS Training course and becoming a NMSIIS User.

To be granted access to NMSIIS you will need to complete the following steps:

  • Complete the NMSIIS Training Course on the TRAIN NM platform at TRAIN New Mexico
  • Complete the NMSIIS exam based on training course.
    • NMSIIS Basic/Standard User 90-minute Course (edit access, report vaccines, run reports, view inventory)
    • NMSIIS New User (Reports/Read Only) 20-minute Course (view patient records and demographics, run limited reports)
  • Attain an 80% or better passing score.
  • Complete and return both via email.
    • NMSIIS User Security and Confidentiality Agreement
    • NMSIIS Certificate of completion

Only one training module is necessary for completion—Please note which access you will need based on description above.

Basic/Standard User(edit access, report vaccines, run reports, view inventory): Couse ID 1109100 https://www.train.org/nm/course/1109100/

NMSIIS login credentials can only be issued once all these steps have been completed.

Once you successfully pass (80%+) on the NMSIIS exam, your Certificate of Completion will auto populate along with the NMSIIS User Security and Confidentiality Agreement.

Please ensure you have included your VFC Pin # or Clinic ID # on your NMSIIS User Agreement form and the level of system access being requested based on training completed.

After our office receives your returned documents, please allow up to 72 hours to receive your NMSIIS login credentials.

VaxViewNM

VaxViewNM enables individuals, parents, and guardians to access, save and/or print official immunization records. This eliminates the need to carry multiple or aged documents and allows you to access your shot record anytime you need. VaxViewNM is mobile friendly and uses two-factor authentication.

Gatekeeper Training

The Gatekeeper Training is for school personnel to learn how to assess student's immunization records. Visit the Gatekeeper Training page to get started online.

To access the courses, you will need to create an account in TRAIN New Mexico. For further instructions, please click on the link below NMSIIS How to Create an Account on TRAIN NM. After accessing the TRAIN NM site, search for the Gatekeeper Training using Course ID 1111941.

Community Health Worker (CHW) Training

The purpose of the Community Health Worker (CHW) Training is to ensure community health workers (CHWs) learn the skills necessary to serve their communities and target populations. Goals for CHW training are to provide education on immunizations and infectious diseases, improve cultural competency, and to promote health and disease prevention/management.
